One of the ways traditional detox protocols fall short is the repair and restoration that has to happen after the initial cleanse. Toxins, free radicals, and heavy metals can cause so much cellular damage that the long-term effects are debilitating if affected cells aren’t replenished while the initial cleanse takes place. The hardest part of that task is that toxins affect cells everywhere in the body, not just in the gut, or the bloodstream, the muscles, etc. So if after an initial detox, you start seeing previous symptoms resurface (or have new ones), it’s a fair bet the initial stress on your cells is causing their re-emergence.
